Value chain overview

Cameroon massively imports powdered milk (>50 billion FCFA/year) while Adamaoua and the North-West have significant cattle herds and substantial dairy potential. XP-NOVA structures the collection, processing and marketing of local milk.

The Cameroonian dairy value chain suffers from fragmented production, a lack of reliable cold chain and the poor adaptation of local breeds to intensive milk production. Model mini-dairies are operating successfully in Ngaoundéré, paving the way for regional structuring.
